“Great location and lovely hotel...” by HCTLondon - London - 24 mars 2008 - on Tripadvisor We have just got back from a fantastic three nights at the Royal Monceau. I was concerned after reading some of the reviews on here that the hotel would not live up to my expectations, however my fears were unfounded. Our room was a little on the small side, however there was plenty of storage space and big window looking out over the courtyard so there was no traffic noise. The staff were all very helpful, we had a lovely porter show us to our room and explain how to get to the spa etc which is included in the cost of the room. Yes the mini-bar and breakfast are extortionate, however there are plenty of cafes around the hotel and there is a supermarket directly opposite where a 2 litre bottle of water is 39 cents so there is no need to spend 7 euros in the mini bar. The pool area is lovely, there were quite a few children when we were staying so it was a bit noisy at times, however the staff were constantly clearing away wet towels and making sure everyone was happy. ...
